Synopsis: Lord Valam, Princess Adrina, and the citizens of South Province celebrated victory with feast and festival, but the triumph was bitter-sweet. The war destroyed the alliance, left behind a ravaged land, and a dead king, but the Battle for Quashan', the capital of South Province, was only a prelude of things to come. Valam knew this, so did the enemy king, Jarom, who was able to escape with much of his army still intact.
Lord Valam also knew he would need the counsel of his father, King Andrew, and with the rebuilding of Quashan' nearly complete, he returned to Imtal, the capital of Great Kingdom. He told his sister, Princess Adrina, nothing of his concerns. Adrina knew only that he wanted to see to her safe return. She hoped Valam would tell their father of the bravery of Seth and Galan, the dryads who had journeyed across the endless sea to seek help for their people and who had helped defeat the enemy army, but Valam spoke nothing of it. To him, all of Great Kingdom was in jeopardy and he would hear nothing of sending aid to stranger or friend across the endless sea.
After a bizarre midnight conversation with Keeper Martin, head of Lore Keepers, Adrina discovered that much more than Seth's homeland was at stake. Following the keeper's advice, Adrina tries to help Seth rally the divided nations to the defense of his homeland, but in the process she uncovers a plot to assassinate her father, the king.
Meanwhile, Vilmos and Xith are nearing the end of their journey to the free city of Solntse. Vilmos is on the path to becoming the first human mage in a thousand years, but Xith's disappearance will shatter Vilmos' view of reality. Vilmos sets out on the journey of awakening. A journey which will take him to madness within the darkness of his soul, and a journey that will take him to Under-Earth where he will again confront the shape-changing Erravane, who is now the queen of Ril Akh Arr.

Synopsis: Vilmos rescued Xith from Erravane's clutches and returned to Solntse just in time to help Adrina save Prince Valam from an assassin's poison, but the journey of awakening that was changing him forever wasn't over. It was leading him to the City of the Sky, one of the last remnants of the once great empires of Over-Earth, and to the mysterious Guardian.
As the champion of the game, Seth earned the respect of the Kingdomers and citizens from many lands, but it was his diplomacy that helped restore the delicate balance of the alliance. In the end, Seth rallied Lord Valam and an army to his cause, but even the test of steel wasn't enough to prepare Seth for the web of deceit waiting for him in his beleaguered homeland, West Reach.
At the time Lord Valam volunteered to lead the alliance army across the sea to West Reach and into battle, he never could have imagined what awaited him. He expected to help win a war, but finds a conflict the likes of which no human has ever seen.
Back in Imtal, Great Kingdom's capital, King Andrew lies near death. A strangeness has descended upon Imtal palace, and only Adrina feels the presence of the servants of Under-Earth. Perhaps the reason she knows they are there is because of the unnatural prescient child in her womb, perhaps not. With Keeper Martin's help, Adrina discovers the secret of Xith's amulet. She uses it to call him only to find that he is gone.

Synopsis: King Jarom's dark alliance with the denizens of Under-Earth made him unstoppable. His servants assassinated King Andrew and the kingdom army, without the leadership of its king, was nearly defeated. The only hope for Great Kingdom lay in a messenger who journeyed across the endless sea to the dryad kingdom of West Reach. The messenger vowed to return with the heir to the throne, Lord Valam. But when the messenger found Lord Valam, he was lying near death upon a bloody field.
With Great Kingdom in turmoil it seemed no place was safe for Princess Adrina and her unborn child. Xith, Vilmos and the legendary heroes, Amir and Noman, had managed to rescue Adrina just before Imtal's fall, but Adrina, who was about to give birth, was in no condition to travel.
Still Xith directed Adrina, Vilmos and the others to the only place where they might find safety, the fourth realm. Safe, that is, if the fourth realm truly existed. But the enemy hordes were everywhere. King Jarom's soldiers combed the hillsides. And spectral warriors, shadows who could assume any shape and capture the spirit of a person, were right behind them.

Synopsis: Some believe the Information Superhighway will one day span the globe. It already does. Every one-thousandth of a second a 28-volume encyclopedia's worth of data is zipping through the ether. Right now this very minute classified data is zipping from supercomputers at NSA Headquarters in Fort Meade, Maryland to sites all around the world. Right now this very minute someone is accessing propriety information residing on Big Blue's mainframes. Right now this very minute someone is encrypting data they don't want anyone to read.
The future is information.
Those who control information control the future.
Journey into the darkness and discover the key to unlocking all the hidden information in the world. Meet Scott Evers. Scott Evers wants to walk away from his career in the National Security Agency and from a past full of things he doesn't want to remember. But it is hard to forget anything when you have a near-photographic memory. When Scott fell in love with Cynthia, his life changed. She convinced him that they could make a fresh start. They married. Cynthia got pregnant. Everything looked so promising. But a man like Scott Evers can never really be free. He knows too many secrets. Take for instance the account of an 18th-century Austrian mathematician that developed an algorithm for decrypting codes--any code no matter how the information was encrypted. The algorithm disappeared after the mathematician's untimely death and for the next two hundred years other mathematicians tried to recreate the work.
Naturally when rumors surfaced that the algorithm had been recreated, it became the number one priority for agents of the National Security Agency. The official word from the Director of NSA and the Chairman of NSC: Find the mathematician; contain his theories. The unofficial word: Find and confiscate all related works; make sure the mathematician never talks.
Scott made the mistake of telling his superior, Glen Abbott that he wanted out the day before the rumors of the algorithm surfaced. When Glen Abbott agreed, it just seemed too easy. Scott knew there had to be a catch, and there was. Glen wanted Scott to first do one last job--an impossible job even for someone with Scott Evers' talents. Three days later, the mathematician was dead. Scott, caught with the murder weapon in hand by local authorities, manages to flee back to the United States. Five days later, Scott is sitting alone on a park bench. He is tired, hungry, alone, and running for his life.
The future is information.
Those who control information control the future.
Scott Evers knows this all too well.
